Rod is Joint Managing Partner of Bridgepoint Development Capital and also a Partner of Bridgepoint. He rejoined Bridgepoint in May 2009 (having worked for the firm previously from 1990 to 2002) to establish Bridgepoint Development Capital.

Prior to re-joining Bridgepoint in 2009, he had been the Chief Executive of Hermes Private Equity from 2002 to 2009, with responsibility for investing the private equity allocation of the BT Pension Scheme. Rod was also Chairman of the BVCA, the British Private Equity Venture Capital Association from 2006-2007. Before originally joining Bridgepoint in 1990 he had worked for 3i from 1981, based in Bristol, London and Boston, USA.
Rod has a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham and an MBA from the London Business School.
