Robert is a Director of Bridgepoint Portfolio Services responsible for managing a number of portfolio companies. He originally joined the Firm in 2005, left in 2007 and rejoined in 2009.
Robert currently sits, or has 'observer status' on the boards of, Siblu, Symingtons, Merlin and Beck & Pollitzer.
He has thirty years of private equity experience, the last ten years of which has been focused on improving value and realising investments in private equity controlled companies. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, he was a founding partner of Phildrew Ventures, which was responsible for managing five private equity funds over a fifteen year period from 1985 before being sold to UBS in 2000.
Robert has a degree in chemistry from Birmingham University, an MBA from Manchester Business School and an MSc in Development Economics from SOAS. He is a mentor for InReturn Capital, an East African venture capital fund targeting the SME sector.
