Alastair is the Partner responsible for the group’s business development activities and is a member of Bridgepoint’s Operating Committee. He is also Chairman of Bridgepoint Development Capital and a board member of Bridgepoint Portfolio Services. Alastair joined Bridgepoint in 1984.
He currently sits on the board of LGC, the UK leader in chemical and biological analytical services and reference materials. With twenty-seven years of private equity experience in Europe and the USA, his earlier roles at Bridgepoint included leadership of the UK and German businesses as well as a two year secondment to a US based venture capital firm. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, he was a Chartered Accountant at Coopers & Lybrand.
Alastair has a degree in Accountancy, Law & Economics from Cardiff University. He is a trustee of the Bridgepoint Charitable Trust and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Impetus Trust.
